Skip counting can be fun and personalized. Help them trace their feet and write numbers onto them. Make an obstacle course or create a number circle. Take turns to skip count by 2s, 3s or even random numbers. Have them jump/ climb and they'll have fun learning skip counting. It isn't all about having your student sit across you ... keep it fun by making them move or even sing a song. They will respond to you and feel engaged in the lesson.
