This is a great game I bought a year ago from Chapters which helps my students practice math skills. Depending on the level of the student we will practice adding, subtracting, dividing and multiplying. It's basically a game consisting of 2 dice and pegs numbered from 1-10. We take turns rolling and making as much combinations as possible using +, -, / and X. For each matching answer or combination the player lifts up the peg (rolls a 4 and 3 so player will lift up the 4-3=1 peg, 4+3= 7 peg). The winner is the first one that has all 10 pegs lifted up. To make it fun if the player rolls double fives they get to tell a player to push all of their pegs down to beginning position. If the player rolls double sixes then they will have to push their own pegs down. To make it more interesting I add new rules on if any player gets doubles, they will get the choice of pushing down that # of pegs down on their opponent (ex: roll double 3s then they can tell opponent to push down 3 of their pegs).
We get the visual part from the dice. Auditory practice from saying aloud the different combinations. You can also get the written practice from recording down on paper the different combinations. Kinesthetic sensory from the rolling dice and pushing the pegs.
If you are very creative and crafty you can make this game with cards instead of pegs and use 2 dices. You can make many variations to make this activity fun.
