* memory game - for math or spelling
* spelling practice - I have students write out their spelling words on a posted notes (make sure they sound as they spell the words). Stick them across the table and make sentences with them and have them draw a picture describing the sentence they have just made up.
* math drills - write equations on one side and the answer on the other, make an obstacle course around the room - stick it on the walls, tables, chairs, floor - have fun with it
* blending drills
* getting different colors also are great for math drills - each color represents a different place value. Students can create equations using the different colors.
* create a matching game - picture with a word
* posted notes of different sizes and colors are great for fractions - compare 1/8 to 1/2
The things you can do with posted notes are endless. Remember make it fun and help them make the connections to the concept
